KELLY WADDEN is a Registered Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor, founder of Yogassage and owner of East Coast Wellness Clinic. Kelly is a graduate of Northumberland College’s Massage Therapy program. As a varsity athlete and marathoner, Kelly learned the importance of taking care of your body. Her interest in massage and yoga was piqued while living in Thailand. Holding a degree in Kinesiology, Kelly focuses her treatments on deep tissue manipulation, myofascial release, therapeutic massage and athletic massage.  

 

When she’s not working someone’s kinks out, she loves being active in the community –  The theme of for Kelly this year: local supporting local! She hosts an event once a year to raise funds for a local charity.  

Kelly has been voted by the city of Halifax as the BEST Massage Therapist (2)Bronze and (2) Silver in the entire city, for the last 4 years in a row, by popular vote in The Coast Weeklys, Best of Halifax poll.

 

 

EMILY PARKER is both a yoga teacher and massage therapist, graduating from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and Hawaii Yoga Institute in 2014, Emily uses her dynamic and vast knowledge of the human body to support her practice.  She approaches teaching and massaging with an interest in supporting every individual's unique needs, and remains present and attentive in order to accomplish this with each treatment. 

With a passion for a holistic approach to body/mind/spiritual wellness, Emily emphasizes a solid base of communication with clients to find an approach that enables success in reaching treatment goals.  Specializing in prenatal massage, deep tissue therapy and a variety of myofascial release techniques (including cupping & Gua sha), in addition to over a decade of yoga practice and YTT certification has created a solid foundation in comprehension of biomechanical and physiological effect in regards to human anatomy.  Using presence, attentiveness and gentle yet direct touch, Emily's massage practice is both relaxing and healing.

BRITTANIE FIRTH’S approach to Osteopathy is a blend of biomechanics, visceral, cranial, and mobilizing. Her passion for this work lies in the desire to empower each patient to discover the underlying cause of their symptoms and to get excited about how simple being healthy can truly be. She is Trauma Sensitive as well, and would love to hold safe space for you. Member in good standing of the Nova Scotia Osteopathic Association NSOA. CPR Trained, Yoga Teacher 500hr, Cupping and Dry Needling certified, Registered Holistic Nutrition Practitioner. 

 

 

ALI JOPP is a Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner with the Nova Scotia Association of Acupuncturists. She graduated as valedictorian from Pacific Rim College, and immediately began teaching there and with TCM Review, a leading board exam preparation company.

 

Always interested in health, she chose to practice TCM because it restored her health and she wants to help patients do the same. Her mission is to help you become as healthy as possible! TCM is an ancient medicine, but it can be very helpful for modern concerns.

Aside from her love of all things relating to Chinese Medicine, she really loves life and all it has to offer!

 

 

CARISSA FISHER is a Registered Massage Therapist who recently graduated with honors from Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario. As a therapist she applies a combination of massage therapy techniques to accurately assess, and provide individualized treatments plans and homecare for her clients.

 

When she is not treating clients she can be found out and about with her two dogs, or trying her hand at various sporting events, from olympic weightlifting to running. Carissa considers herself a lifelong learner, and having recently moved to the East Coast from Ontario, she could not be more thrilled to begin to put down roots in such a wonderful community.

 

JENN KING is a registered massage therapist and yoga teacher with a deep passion and wonder for the complexities of the human body. After graduating from the massage therapy program at ICT Northumberland College in 2005, she completed her 500 YTT with Modo International in 2014 followed by additional training in Yin and Vinyasa. 

 

Jenn has developed a treatment approach that includes deep tissue technique, myofascial release and craniosacral balancing. She has experience in a broad spectrum of tissue manifestations ranging from athletic injuries to postural and repetitive strain. One of the most rewarding elements of her career has been achieved through her work with clients who are facing unique challenges associated with PTSD. When Jenn is not working as an RMT, she loves to practice yoga, prepare and share food, run and read. She is delighted to be a part of the ECWC team.

STEPHANIE SAMSON graduated in 2014. Having recently moved back East from the Fraser Valley, BC, She brings a background of fitness including competitively training for kickboxing, and an avid runner completing several half marathons (including the Vancouver SeaWall). She is an enthusiastic hiker, where her love for the outdoors has lead her to hiking expeditions in the mountains of Costa Rica, and the Canadian Rockies in British Columbia. 

 

Working with a wide variety of needs, and people from all ages/background since starting her practice, Stephanie has also fostered a keen interest in Myofascial release. Stephanie is very good at understanding and listening to your needs and personal goals, and she can tailor the treatment by combining general Swedish massage techniques, trigger point therapy and deep tissue to help you achieve your goals through massage therapy. She goes out of her way to help her clients, striving to educate and empower them about their treatment, progress and overall well being. Stephanie's practice combines therapeutic healing with a hint of relaxation, calmness and well being.
